So, books. As I stated in my blog, I've decided that it's about time I started to read something more than those fantasy books (which I still love best, no doubt about that). So I thought that I'll make my self a carrot that will make me move from words to actions - list-maniac that I am, I will list here all the books I've read starting from today (16.09.2005) and before, assuming that I can remember the tittles and authors... Wether I'll expand this booklist to contain reviews and such remains to be seen.

The names of the books are written on the same language as the book I read. So if you are beginning to doubt your language skills, never fear - it just means that you probably can't speak finnish or swedish :)

Donna Quijote by Leena Krohn (Finished reading 10.1.2006)
This book reminds me of a mosaic window - the glasses of different color are small and seem meaningless, but together they form a big picture. Chapters need pondering.

Juoppohuollun päiväkirja by Juha Vuorinen (Finished reading 26.12.2005)
Funny as hell. It's been long since I've read something this entertaining - can't really say I've laughed this much since I finished the Bridget Jones books (by Helen Fielding).

Anatomi by Federico Andahazi (Finished reading during late november or early december, I'm not exactly sure of the date)
Well, this book certainly was different from what I've been used to reading. It tells about a man that discovered clitoris, which tells just about everything you need to know. Not pornographic but. It has won a prize, which disturbes me greatly, since I can't really say what's so great about the book besides that it based the story on historical writings (which was interesting), but so was DaVinci Code and it wasn't that marvelous either. So. Can't really recommend this one if you're not interested in reading just something else.

Sadan vuoden yksinäisyys by Gabriel García Márquez (Finished reading 16.11.2005)
This book was 400+ pages of confusion. There were many characters that had the same name and somethimes you had to think really hard to understand which one of them was talking or being talked about. This book is low-fantasy: the world is ours, there just are some... addings. It was an interesting book, but heavy to read.

Teurastamo 5 by Kurt Vonnegut (Finished reading 12.10.2005)
I liked this book a lot. The humour in it balances well the subject, which is the madness of the war.

Aiotko kirjoittaa romaanin? by Dianne Doubtfire (Finished reading 17.09.2005)
It was well written and made clear points. I don't know how much new I learned, but I got my priorities checked when it comes to writing.

Olemisen Sietämätön Keveys by Milan Kundera (Finished reading 16.09.2005)
A heavy book to read. It requires some knowledge and a lot of thinking from the reader, but it awards you highly if you can finnish it. It left me with much to ponder with.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by J. K. Rowling (Finished reading 25.07.2005)
Sadly, it looks like Potter-books are getting worse. The book isn't awful, it just isn't that good as the first four. Many things seemed out of place. Atleast it was easy to read.
